My parents finally got off the base Sunday for a trip to Kokusai street in Naha. It's a long street full of shops and restaurants which they close off Sunday afternoon so people can stroll and shop. My parents enjoyed meandering through the covered markets and looking at all the shops. We got to see a few street performers and had a delicious dinner at Sam's Maui Steakhouse. The day was great. We did a lot of walking and I was glad I'd worn my tennis shoes.
